This monumental bronze statue by Croatian artist Oscar Nemon (1906–1985) is located on the Square Maréchal Montgomery in Brussels. It was erected in 1980 to commemorate the liberation of Brussels on September 3, 1944, by British troops under the command of then General Montgomery.
