Architectural Sky

I took this photograph because I was struck by how the massive “The One Brussels” building seemed to overwhelm a set of smaller townhouses. The low angle and tight crop really help capture that feeling. What’s also interesting is how the absence of a defined building shape turns the gray and white patterns into something that feels like a sky of drifting abstract clouds. Overall, the composition is meant to evoke a sense of urban dominance and disorientation. (Brussels, European Quarter, Belgium, June 2024)
