A rhythmic interplay of form and movement, this monochrome capture of the Fontaine Pol Bury in Brussels blurs the line between architecture and kinetic sculpture. The reflective spheres, poised atop steel cylinders, seem to defy gravity, their liquid energy contrasting with the rigid geometry of the Quatuor building. The oblique angle infuses dynamism, making the towers appear to lean into the composition, as if responding to the fountain’s silent motion. Though dwarfed by the surrounding structures, the fountain possesses an inherent momentum—an upward pull, a wishful promise of expansion to challenge the building’s height. (Brussels, June 2024)
