Dramatically lit by streetlights, a white suburban house stands like a geometric ghost against the inky night sky, its sharp triangular roof piercing the darkness. The neighboring house fades into shadow, making this illuminated dwelling the sole performer on a theatrical street stage. (Photographed in the Stockel neighborhood, Brussels, 1975.
