Nighttime In Stockel—House #6

The top of a roofless house, starkly white against the black night sky, stands above two layers of vegetation—a neatly trimmed hedge divided by a white pillar and a dense row of towering cypress trees. The contrast between white and black, the minimalist architecture, and the chaotic texture of the greenery creates a powerful visual tension in this striking composition of geometric abstraction and organic density. (Photographed in the Stockel neighborhood, Brussels, 1975. Captured on 35mm Tri-X film.)
