The Sacred Offering

“Mali“ is a monumental outdoor sculpture created in 1977 by British sculptor Phillip King. It is built with painted steel bands and geometric shapes that interlock into complex movements. In this composition the projected lines can be seen as an abstract offering gesture. You can also see them as shaping the figure of an opened egg that is ready to release/offer its content. An artwork to express concepts such as birth, rebirth, renaissance, or revival in your interior decor. (Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum, Antwerp, August 2018)
