Vortex Ascent

The BruCity’s atrium is a cylindrical expanse of glass and steel, soaring eight stories high and crowned with a skylight that seems to draw the sky inward. Panoramic elevators, encased in shimmering tubes, ascend like columns of light, dissolving into layers of reflection and distortion. In this extreme low-angle composition, deepened shadows intensify the concentric balcony rings, creating an optical illusion—an endless spiral of motion and mystery. The result is an abstract interplay of geometry and transparency, a futuristic vision where architecture blurs into a dream of infinite ascent. (BruCity building, Brussels, Belgium, June 2024)
