This bronze statue of a dancing nude figure expresses the joy of life, casualness, and dynamism. Titled “Het Zotte Geweld / The Mad Virgin” it was sculpted with expressive directness in 1912 by Belgian sculptor Rik Wouters (1882–1916). Rendered with duotone colors and a texture blend for an antique feel similar to vintage photographs. (Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum, Antwerp, 08/2018.)
