Close-up on a monumental bronze statue representing Hercules who must kill the Stymphalian birds—one of the twelve labors imposed to him. This photograph emphasizes the heroic appearance, energy, and powerful stance of the nude figure. The fog effect was added digitally to isolate the silhouette. (Sculpted in 1909 by French sculptor Emile-Antoine Bourdelle (1861–1929). Captured at the Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum, Antwerp, August 2018.)
