Under a stormy sky, the monumental bronze statue of a male figure is positioned in a powerful stance with his right arm raised and mouth open, as if he is delivering a message of doom. Titled “El profeta” (The Prophet), 1933, it was sculpted by Spanish sculptor Pablo Gargallo (1881–1934) in his unique Cubist concept of sculptures made of metal planes. (Photo composite.
