In this candid portrait of an elderly man who enjoys an outdoor performance, I like how his hat has a personality of its own: by standing over the man’s cane, tilted like the man’s head, and facing the same direction, we can imagine it is personified as another spectator. (Captured on 35mm Tri-X film, Brussels, 1982.)
